BluBac—the safer and more effective iron bacteria removal chemicalHow to Clean a Water BoreRecirculation Method for Smaller Bores (The “Quick Fix”)
Disconnect the discharge line from the bore, connect a pipe from the bore head and direct it back down the casing for 1 metre. Pour the recommended dose of BluBac down the bore casing, turn the bore pump on and circulate the mixture overnight. Afterwards discharge the treatment water to waste onto absorbent ground, flushing until the water runs clear. If the water is used for irrigation only, the treatment water can be pumped through the reticulation system, which may assist in cleaning the lines. If using this method do not discharge through overhead sprinklers – release the treatment water to waste over absorbent ground. NOTE: BluBac Gold will clean where the treated water circulates, so this method will clean inside the casing , the pump intakes, impellers and headworks, but not the gravel pack. It is not as thorough as the methods listed below. Cleaning Larger Water Bores
If iron encrustation is excessive we recommend that the bore is brushed and air-lifted before using BluBac. This will save on quantity of BluBac required. Surging or Brushing:
Jetting Remove the pump. Add the recommended dose of BluBac to the bore using a jetting tool, working the tool in the screen area. Allow the bore to rest overnight, then discharge the treatment water over absorbent ground.
